The Dubai Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a girl who claims she was attacked by an escort.
The girl told police she met a man in Dubai and he took her to a hotel and gave her alcohol.
The escort later returned the girl to her hotel room.
The man, who was identified as Abdul Rauf al-Tayeb, is wanted for questioning in connection with the incident.
The incident comes amid a growing number of cases in Dubai of sex attacks, where women say they were sexually assaulted by men who came to the hotel to meet women.
“These are crimes that should not be allowed,” said one Dubai police official.
“These crimes must be brought to an end.
Dubai Police has established a new unit and is launching an investigation.
This case should be brought before the courts.”
Last month, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly attacked by a group of men while she was staying at a hotel in Dubai.
The victim told police the men were dressed in black clothes and had their faces covered.
She told Dubai police that a taxi driver took her and her mother to a private room and raped her.
The taxi driver was later arrested and released on bail.
The Dubai police spokeswoman said police were not aware of the case but were investigating the incident and any possible links to the escort service.
